Your pet is a loving member of your family and you love to treat them as one of the family. We are always looking at what we feed our kids. Whether it is their regular meals or the snacks we give them – we want only the best. Many manufacturers cure the hides with harsh chemicals; such as, an ash-lye solutions, lime and/or bleach. If the curing process is not enough to help you decide whether or not to feed your dog rawhide, consider the digestive problems of rawhides. Prolonged chewing can cause rawhides to become stringy or break off in small pieces, which can lead to a choking hazards or throat irritations. Pets are similar to humans in what they need to look and feel great. In order to keep your pet in good shape you need to give them daily exercise, this can be as simple as a daily walk ( which is good for both of you ) or even participating in dog training courses or hiring a dog walker if you are too busy.

Healthy dog food is important be because low quality food can negatively impact your dogs health. Foods that have fillers may fill the belly of your pet, but they will not be able to digest the ingredients and benefit from the nutrients. Another downfall of low quality or cheap dog food is that they will use second grade food for their ingredients. This means that even the food that your pet can digest will not have a high vitamin count, Which requires your dog to eat more food.

     Protein Intake
     Ferrets are carnivores and prefer to ingest meats. These days however, with a whole range of ready-made pet foods, readily available in the market, it has led to a cut in the ferrets diet that it would have naturally. People have started buying more and more of these foods which are proving to be dangerous for the ferrets. This is because they are highly processed and do not provide for a ferrets regular intake of protein (30-40 %).

     A ferret in it’s natural surroundings will eat its prey whole or feast on its body parts. Thus, it requires meat based protein that is easily digestible. Do not compare it to humans or other pet species as it will not make do with vegetable proteins.      Dogs are mammals, that have bodily functions that are almost similar to those of human beings. Hence even dogs require many food nutrients such as vitamins that many a times do not come in through the normal diets.
